this is rather heavy and potentially offensive, so please note that this is just an opinion. my opinion.
in the understanding that nothing in the universe means anything at all will the human race finally be at peace with his surroundings. sure, our collective insignificance and the pettiness of our little thoughts may be hard to accept at first, but eventually, with enlightenment will come understanding, as precedes the ultimate destruction of our baseless construct, belief. we question our purpose here. why does everything have to have a purpose? why should a caterpillar have to exist at all to be part of a food chain that doesnt have to exist? because it already exists, for the sole purpose of maintaining the existence of other organisms. sadly, we've done more destroying than anything else, so heres a toast to that. what created us? god? so what created god? gods god? and what created gods god? gods gods god? how can so many different people of different races and cultures believe that they were created by different people when we are all so evidently the same? of course the usual arguments will appear; god is everywhere, god is omnipotent, our ol chumbucket god was swaggerin around his toga parties even before the universe was created. why cant we believe that space was there all along instead? theres this human need of ensurance that our creator looks like us (probably why he created us in his image huh), this human need for reassurance such that human frailties are always backed up by a higher being. somebody else always needs to take the fall, somebody else always needs to be accountable. im not saying religion is bad right now. religion is good- its promotes fraternity and kinship amongst groups of people, but can stir hatred for other religions in the face of clashing ideologies and irreconcilable difference. race and religion are just excuses to further divide man. dont talk to me about uniformity and preserving religion for its role as the walking stick of feeble mankind; because ill gladly take peace and love over all the violence and murder committed in the name of religion worldwide. morality as dictated by fear of retribution and punishment at death? get a life.
