Nature's first green is gold, Her hardest hue to hold Her early leaf's a flower; But only so an hour Then leaf subsides to leaf So Eden sank to grief,

the sound of a leaf on winters eve
the path is strewn with leaves of old all kin of colours green brown and gold swept away into the side of the lane only to be scattered by the wind again
the chill wind breeds melancholy a thousand hearts beg to be free but nature lets its story unfold and a thousand hearts once more grow cold
winter hearkens through the night fresh frost yearns to take up flight
a final melody and the flit of wings marks the short living end of all things the leaves stay still where theyve lain as the last of autumnal beauty fades in vain
we walk the last down the lane, and all to be heard is silence, save for the sound of a leaf on winters eve

chums eh?
gp james and i went for college day today after doin source based questions like nobodys business, then nicked off halfway for lunch at j8. college day sucked but afterwards some little kid came and asked me in front of a tv crew whether i would donate to the spca to save a cat and dog to which i promptly replied "i hate animals". not that i do because i actually hate little kids. other hates include sunshine lollipops and rainbow sprinkles. fine so maybe thats a lie (have i mentioned i like fairy ponies too?) but all the same if this scandal whips up over how teens nowadays hate animals (and later on, the needy too), i didnt mean it. plus someone came up to us and offered us chocolate coated things from their on display chocolate fountain so i happily grabbed four sticks of whatever they were dishin out on the pretext of wantin to know more about what was going on. by the way, this works for the bee cheng hiang downstairs too. just ask about the different types of bakwa and before you know it youll be running away with 20 kgs of bakwa and a geriatric shopkeeper valiantly trying to chase you. or not. cheers y'all.

puttin it simply- if you werent there you missed out on somethin somethin good. soccer at sunset today was awesome- 25 people showed up including josh and callum who are back on holiday from australia after 7 years, and it was tight. fast paced game with people everywhere. jamal passed a fantastic ball down from the right straight to the centre where i held it, spun and smashed it home straight through alex's legs. good to see him again considering how now he's 22 and workin at some law firm. kept crossing the ball to jamal and josh from the right when finally in the next half i crossed one nicely for josh to volley home past uncle chandran who was the new keeper; and he was bloody pleased about it too. gosh but it was awesome- final score 2-0 and uncle was mighty pleased. sunset peole rock on; today we did brilliant.

last nights show was awesome. it was completely flawless and the best run ever, which is pretty sweet since it was the last time we were performing "where?". mr vadi is a bloody genius when it comes to scriptwriting and direction, so we were pretty much covered there but the rest of us did the show 110%- 100% was us and the other ten percent was wai kits magical nose bleed after the fight scene. most actors manage to cry when they need to- wai kits nose BLED. awesome stuff by wai kit. it was brilliant for the SYF closing night. CJs play was a drag, and NJs play was awesome, especially namitas bit and that malay silat shit this girl did for her monologue. ac had this huge structure but were quite suspect since the play got draggy and they all spoke with some forced british accent. that last bits odd since they were supposed to be the american firemen off the whole sept 11th thing, so i guess itd be pretty cool seeing george bush start talking all british like. ensemble were good and coordinated, though i still dont see why they hit the 'with honours' bit of the whole gold thing. ah well. we did good.
well i meant it when i said i love sunset. it rained a bit but there were still a lotta people playing. it receded though which was pretty good cos we were all dead tired by the end of the match. final score, 12-6. we were up against a stronger side, but i still scored 7 times so its pretty obvious who won. we da man la, we da man. and then another match tomorrow. god im tired.

its dark and cloudy - and you hide yourself from view. you in your all encompassing beauty and glory hidden in the clouds, taking refuge in the night. the calm smooth softness of night, waves of sound emanating from the cab nearby like ripples cutting through melting butter, the air cool, and heavy with moisture.
i thought id had it all covered. i thought i had you all misled. i thought nothing could shake this anymore. i guess i was wrong.
the lamp post outside glows a pale yellow, as the dark silhoette of a bat slides past, the feral shadow momentarily startling me, and then everything sinks back to normality. drab, dull, monotonous normality.
the buena vista social club cuts through the night now, cuban jazz, better than my los del rio.
when i reminisce, ignorance was bliss, in the days that the magic existed
im through with hoping. closure was reached some time ago. an old book i dont want to open again, stained with the passage of time, and the wholeness of being. it is now a part of me, and will be until it is replaced. until the old memories are taken up by new ones.
forever
why does it have to be this way? why does it have to be like this? questions poised again and again, and although i got answers from them, i dont believe them.
it shouldnt be this way. very few things should be the way they are, another thing highlighted in a conversation i had once upon a time. a very interesting conversation which reached an eventual impasse where the two sides refused to agree with each other.
the simple belief that humanity has a chance to improve is what will drive such improvement, not negativity and disdain of such effort.
me? i believe that culture and the arts is what defines humanity- and although a number of people said that all the great performers, writers, dramatists, artists of the world are long dead- they will forever be the voices of our human race. the late great jimi hendrix, jim morrisson, oscar wilde, these were the people who define us. so you might say- 'hey! their DEAD. and for good reason too.'
the star that burns brightest burns the fastest
so what would you rather be? remembered forever, live fast, die young, making a difference - or as most of you believe - doing everything for money? life is more than money. life is more than society (statements which have been highly contested), life is about the individual, and the elements making up such an individual. each characteristic blend of emotion, art, culture and soul, will and personality in a human body- that is the individual. we werent born to suckle off dollar notes- we were born to live, live as deeply and purposefully, burn as brightly as possible before dying, something many people have unfortunately forgotten. that emotion defines humanity in us - and although some people believe it should be accompanied by inhumanity - were all human - why should there be any trace of inhumanity in us? live freely, live brightly, live.
life is about emotion and beauty, understanding and love, life is about living - and you cant do that shackled to societal norms - their so called norms are suppressive, repressive and terribly terribly impressive upon the freedom of thought and speech.
it shouldnt be this why, and i dont know why i let it go this way.
you only live once. dont make the same mistakes.
ill never forget you.

this thursday and friday, i will be going to the hwa chong institution at 12 on both days to prepare and eventually present our SYF play "where?" in the evening, and it will be the last time i perform for RJC, so it is with some measure of sadness that i bid you goodbye, and a certain pride for having brought you on this journey.
i dont know why i say or do the things i do, or to what end but i do know that they are for reasons which keep the world turning and keep the sun shining, because every reaction brings on an action, to make up the now- a culminations of many nows eventually relating to the future and so time rolls merrily along.
so thats it. here goes nothing, and there goes the neighbourhood.

starlit heavens starry night cut a vision through my sight held in hands obsequiously shine out forth so merrily
so far away and lost in time captured only in prose and rime how could ever be craft design one made so pure, half divine?
shunning castigation of mankind to fly away and leave us blind to what great end do you remain to shine back down with such disdain?
is it love we see burning true? love falling from the sky so blue? holding steady eternal light almost constant endless flight
the night is come now hear us all to mark ungainly suns fresh fall serenity to now result and mark the dread end of tumult
starlit havens starry night weaving dreams to our delight held up forth reverently to shine out now in all glory

once again, im made terribly upset in the course of this miserable world cup by portugals loss to germany. first brasil get knocked out (no theyre gonna win the finals) and then portugal lose which makes me terribly upset for luis figo, the most skilled portuguese footballer since eusebio and fandi ahmad (wait he wasnt portuguese). and cronaldo who has been spectacular and should have been the best young player, and simao sabrosa who must come to liverpool and the heroic ricardo. tis such an injustice that you have to go out this way, and the golden generation remains unrewarded.
may they be glad in knowing that they played their hearts out, are loved around the world and for the fact that tonight italy will avenge brasil. FORZA AZZURI.

now now sean, id usually slap people for their tagging bullshit, but since you asked so nicely i will be nice too and hence disparage the claims of certain people- no a PERSON- who (horror of horrors) thinks im evil. the tragedy of it all.
4 beverages I enjoy from time to time:
1) coke. coke good. me like coke.
2) a good mocha frappechino at starbucks. it was the first thing i ever ordered at starbucks whilst pretending to know lots about coffee with my first. and it tastes good too which just adds to the fun.
3) there really isnt anything much that beats an ice cold milo after a long match (ice cold 100 plus is a contender down these parts) but hey its good. plus, im not really a swimmer, im a dolphin.
4) RIBENA. it keeps me strong, healthy and smart, or so it says on the bottle. plus its full of vitamin c and good for you although thats accidentally spilling a most of my last vodka into the bottle probably did nothing to help back these claims.
4 fantastic destinations I would like to go to on vacation before I die (excluding those i already went! EDIT: this question should be followed by a 'to' and have a that inside, reading those that ive already been to. stupid olio house people. spot another mistake and get their shop for free! yes! zero dollar!):
1) hawaii cos its bloody awesome and i want to live there someday. the beaches are pretty, the ocean is nice, blue and shark infested, the girls are hot and ive always had a soft spot for a good ol fashioned luau with a couple a babes and barney the dinosaur. ah barney. always there for you with his imagination bullshit.
2) venice, because i had to bloody study it for social studies in sec 4. not like i really studied it (i skipped it actually) but since it was in the syllabus i might as well visit it and reap some marginal benefit from the place. plus its always sweet tellin your friends 'wow sarawak sounded like loads of fun. i had to go to lousy old sicily.'
3) BRASIL, in a world cup final where theyre playing. its a win win situation, cos theyll win and therell be widespread joy, debauchery and various other good things. and if they lose, ill probably be stabbed and robbed which isnt so bad considering the fact that my beloved brasil lost a final. ah brasil. you'll always win. also because i used to go to this brazilian deli espirito santos with a close friend (both have since disappeared) and it was beautiful. we had big plans for going there haha. live the dream they say.
4) india cos i really wanna see the kurukshetra battlefield where the last battle was fought between the pandavas and the kauravas. and trivandrum in kerala because its beautiful. plenty of beauty in india, just gotta find it. a big game of hide and slum.
4 celebrities I would like to go on a big date with:
1) Aishwarya Rai. i love her. i love her. shes so beautiful its not funny. and i love her. ah well....someday soon. Angelina Jolie because i love her too. aside from playing big female dominatrix lara croft shes a nice person. kept a vow of silence on a mountaintop for a year to understand the meaning of a whisper or some such. or was that T.T. Durai?
2) Victor Khodorkovsky, imprisoned and since bankrupted owner of russian oil giant Yukos. i really want to look into that mind. same goes for you Mr Vladimir Ilyenich Lenin, dont think i dont wanna have a look see around your mind too so no running away now.
3) Ronaldo. he is awesome, and only the greatest striker of all time. i supported him since i was a boy and fell in love with the los merengues mainly because of him. he plays solid rocks and will always be a brasilian soccer master class.
4) the greatest living actor, sean connery. totally dig hish accshent. sho you think only you caan shpeak like thish. he was totally the best james bond ever and his acting in 'the rock' made it my favourite movie of all time. top class.
4 gadgets I do not have, which I would like to have:
1) sean and me agree here. vertus' are the epitomy of cellular communicative luxury, and theyre brilliantly stylish too.
2) a black Lamborghini Diablo with orange flames on the side. lamborghinis are beautifully made, and meant to be driven with flair to match that beauty- and what better way to do that than with a diablo?
3) a working calculator. i dont actually have one ever since james stole my only one and gave it to his sister. naughty boy ah james. want to kena smack only.
4) there actually isnt anything material i really want. i pretty much got everything i need, with the stars and sky thrown in so i think i got me cut a pretty sweet deal.
4 ppl i'm tagging
1) bhavan, because he is also a naughty boy.
2) fifi and figo, because i havent seen them in ages.
3) stally baby, for his intuitive insight as pertaining to the meaning of life, and yearning for the notion of being a lightbulb.
4) lee kuan yew, just to see if the sedition act charges me on this tag. (how dare you tag the mm? cant you see thats hes not built for catching? silly boy)

this weekends pretty sweet. went to see just my luck just now with a friend- yes it was good although why sinister music should be playing before hand continues to fly in the face of reason. lindsay lohan is pretty (better not say that too loudly) and yupp. but yeah what shocked me was how much SHE LOOKED LIKE SITAL who is currently having a good time with summer break in australia. good stuff ayy? say say say! so much for us not having seasons. stupid equator (no not really, you is da shit mr equator thing). walkin about city hall when suddenly these two french guys start booing loudly- i had no idea anything was happening at all until i realised i was wearing my forza italia t-shirt. ah well. brasil is still gonna win the world cup, and portugal is gonna take the third place play-off, so heres to cronaldo.

the nights grow darker, but the companionship of those i hold close give me much cause for joy. i no longer have the luxury of two balconies from which to enjoy the night sky although i intend to rebuild that past in the future; still the night clings to me like the blanket she ever was and i lose myself in the warmth of her chill.
in any case its been rollin good times again in a01d as many people failed maths (so whats new? wait- BHAVAN AND I DINT FAIL!), darius got an a and james is continually a naughty boy. bhavan is quick to point things out as cool ah or happening and in engaging james in the usual long meaning meandering conversations they usually engage in. an example of such a conversation is noted in extract a. *names of bhavan, james and stallone changed to protect identities.
EXTRACT A entre bourbon from stage left to meet jomes who is already on stage.
Bourbon:(aside) be it such that i may encounter a very naughty boy today for tis my very luck indeed to find a victim lain at need

Bourbon: SHADDAP
Jomes: No but-
Bourbon: I say shaddap understand?
Jomes: (whines and screams like oliver kahn) entre stelios
Stelios: The notion of being a lightbulb...and yearns.

so skools started again, kinda like bhavans blog www.youstupidcow.com. its been a month of studying for the commons, a week of commons and other stuff so this is sorta like a welcome break. skool skool skool. my classmates is all de best. ladida.
tuesdays are pretty much skool holidays when you look at em close like- lit lec at the start with the whole 2a01d side down faster than that black hawk. then PE followed by break, then our math break (for bhavan sean and me only. so there. ha.) before half an hour of civics and an hour and a half of general paper which is pretty much the lets hear about dead students and shit eating kids show.
so we went down to my place during break to watch tv (some strangely satisfying entertainment gossip fuck thing) when suddenly the doorbell rings and snadya and anita tramp in in their swimsuits demanding towels. well done lah. smart kids. then skool and later hazminho and sarah (the smith version) came over and it was back massages with a complimentary round of jesus (on the house too!) for everyone. arr ye pirates of the carribean when do ye be comin round?
